Terms and Conditions
Rules for using neatinvoice.app, the guest generator, and the signed-in workspace.
Effective date: July 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using NeatInvoice ("the Service"), including the guest invoice generator, signed-in workspace, public invoice viewer, and related pages, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
NeatInvoice is a browser-based invoicing workspace. Depending on how you use it, the Service may include:
- Creating, editing, previewing, and downloading invoices as PDF files
- Storing drafts locally in your browser (guest use) and syncing data when you create an account
- Publishing optional live links so recipients can view an invoice on the web
- Finance overview and invoice activity views for signed-in users
- In-app notifications about workspace activity on signed-in accounts
- Outbound invoice email, payment reminders, recurring schedules, and expanded workspace limits during an active in-app free trial or paid subscription
We may change, add, or remove features over time. Plan limits (for example business workspaces, monthly invoice volume, or email sends) depend on your trial or subscription tier and are described in the product and enforced in the Service.
3. Accounts, trials, and subscriptions
An account is optional for the guest invoice generator. The signed-in workspace requires an account. New accounts may start a limited in-app free trial on Solo or Studio as described in the product. During an active trial or paid subscription, you receive the workspace features shown at checkout and in your account. If your trial ends without a subscription, paid workspace access may end and unpaid plan limits may apply.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account. Paid subscriptions are processed by our billing provider (Polar.sh). Prices, renewal intervals, and cancellation are shown at checkout and in your billing portal. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
4. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of invoice data and other content you enter. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and tax treatment of your invoices, including amounts, client details, and payment instructions. NeatInvoice does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Invoice status fields (for example sent, paid, or overdue) reflect what you set in the workspace unless an automated rule in the Service applies (such as overdue status on past-due sent invoices). We do not confirm that clients have paid you.
When you publish a live link or send email through the Service, you instruct us to make that invoice (or a link to it) available to the recipients you specify. Do not publish or send content you do not have the right to share.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. That includes attempting to access other users' data, interfering with infrastructure, sending unsolicited or abusive email through the Service, or using the Service for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users.
6. Intellectual property
The Service application, design, branding, and underlying software are owned by NeatInvoice or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any rights to you except the limited right to use the Service as intended.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free calculations, email delivery, or that generated documents meet your jurisdiction's invoicing rules.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeatInvoice shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or business arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
8. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may discontinue features or terminate access in accordance with these Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction of the Service provider. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
